The H.I.T.- Holon Institute of Technology (H.I.T) is an institution of higher learning that specializes in the scientific, professional, social and cultural aspects of advanced technology.

Development of modern hi-tech industries - a pillar of contemporary Zionist activity - necessitates the training of superior, highly skilled personnel. At present, two academic institutions in Israel offer career training and research in engineering and technology: The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in the northern part of the country and the H.I.T.- Holon Institute of Technology in central Israel.
